Top Three Elements
Here at Ruth's Rubes we have been working for several weeks on various elements. While we have been focusing on qualities such as strength we also care about the asthetics of the elements. Here are some of our favorite elements, both because of their strength, and their effectiveness. The elements were voted upon by those who were within the attendance of our seventh meeting.
1. The "Intercontinental Ballistic Missle"
The "Intercontinental Ballistic Missle is actually a PVC pipe ramp that holds two marbles. The marbles are launched seperately at different times during the operation of the machine. They then are switched onto two different tracks. Only one track has had any work performed upon it so far. Its greatest challange so far is how to go up instead of down in a later stage. This step was more likely chosen due to its name than its impressibility.
2. "JDI Course"
This course has a ball that has a small weight to hold it up and give it some force. This ball then falls from a greater height and hits a golf ball that activates a moustrap. this mousetrap is attacthed to a string that pulls up when the moustrap is activated. That string then pulls up a weight,which serves as a roadblock, and allows a ball to start rolling thus starting the "Intercontinental Ballistic Missile"
3. The Wall Marble Roll
To activate the Wall Marble Roll a series of dominoes go up a series of steps and set off a ball that rolls down from element to element. This element is impressive due to its enormous size.
