About Us

Our Team

We are a determined team ready to put up a fight at an annual Rube Goldburg competition in White Plains, New York! We cannot wait to build onto our machine at the Ruth Keeler Memorial Library. This is our third year competing in this event and we are more excited than ever!

About the Compitition

The goal of a Rube Goldburg machine is to complete a simple task, such as opening a door, with as many steps as possible. The competition we compete at is in April at the White Plains High School Engineering Expo.  Each step is considered to be the transfer of energy from one element to another. An example of a short series of steps would be a ball hitting some dominoes that knock a ball of a cliff, which would count as three steps because there were three transfers of energy. Our machine must be done in two minutes and must be reset in eight minutes. We must do this twice for judges, and then after that, it will be open to the public. Everyone is welcome to come and cheer us on!
