Applying a Band-Aid

Earlier today the 2017 Ruth's Rubes team met for the first time at the Ruth Keeler Memorial Library in North Salem. In a little less than two months time, on April 2, 2017, they will compete at the Engineering Expo at the White Plains High School.

The team, composed of middle schoolers, won the Legacy Award last year. This year they intend to win first place.

The goal of the competition this year is to apply a band-aid, a task that may prove to be harder than the previous goal of opening an umbrella. However, the Ruth's Rubes team is up to the task.

On Sunday, their first meeting, they were already beginning to develop theme ideas and conceptualize steps for the machine. With a full two months to go, the 2017 Ruth's Rubes team is already looking strong.
